Reviews
Tastefully decorated restaurant with Thai ornaments. The service staff was helpful and took the initiative to offer us the English menu without us requesting. Food wise, we ordered the Thai milk tea, basil leaf pork, spring roll and tom yam soup. The Thai milk tea was too sweet (no tea taste, only milk taste). The basil leaf pork was not what I expected. In Thailand, the pork is minced pork but here they use pork slices. The tom yam soup was diluted, and not sour enough. Price is a little steep compared to other Thai restaurants in Kiel.
Very nice food. The wine did not pair that well with the food. It would be nice to have wines on the menu with a little bit more acid and bite. The green tea was decent quality.
A little overpriced but the quantity of the food is good. One main dish is enough for two if you order just an extra rice. Standard thai curries were good. Lucky to find it open on 1st Jan night.
A friend and I decided to try this place out, although we figured that the food here has been modified to suit the locals better. We had Thai iced tea and Tom Yam soup, both of which were good. However, the green curry with pork that I ordered had an extremely pungent smell, the kind that smells like ammonia. I tried to finish it, but couldn't as the smell was so strong. I think the pork had already gone bad. The curry was also really watery and tasted nothing like the original. On the upside, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere cosy.
We greatly enjoyed our dinner, went here on recommendations of regular customers. Menu indicates allergens, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options
we didn't go for the hottest possible options. we both had curries--i had massaman curry with chicken and my partner had panang curry with tofu. the portions were way too much to eat and for once we broke german custom since we saw them preparing food to be picked up, and asked if they could give us the rest, to go.
Good food, wide range of dishes, friendly service.
Great food and friendly staff! SO MUCH FOOD!! Dont feel bad for taking a doggy bag ;-) Only downside was uncomfortable chairs on the terrace.
